From May 12 to 16, 2025, the Libraries and Documentation Service of the University of Valencia hosted, with the support of UVinternacional, its first International Staff Week for Librarians, a meeting that brought together library professionals from European universities in our city.

Throughout the week, various professional activities and visits were carried out to the main libraries of the University of Valencia: the Social Sciences Library, the Humanities Library, the Sciences Library, the Library of Psychology and Sport, the Historical Library, and the Map Library. During these visits, topics such as research support, loan and reference services, acquisitions, and the libraries' contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were discussed, among others.

In addition, two of the afternoons were dedicated to cultural activities, offering participants the chance to explore local heritage and culture, fostering exchange in a relaxed and enriching environment. It was a very positive experience, both professionally and personally. We learned a lot from each other and built connections that will surely continue beyond this week.
