On Friday, September 19, the annual meeting of the main Spanish library consortia, purchasing groups, the CSIC, and REBIUN took place at the CSUC headquarters, in an event coordinated by the consortium’s ARCO area.

For nearly eight years, this area has led the Coordination Board, which meets every two weeks to address strategic issues related to open access and transformative agreements.

During the session, key topics were discussed, such as the Transformative Agreements promoted by CRUE, open access initiatives like the international SCOAP3 project led by CERN, as well as new proposals for agreements at the national level.

The meeting was attended by the consortia BUVAL, BUCLE, CBUA, CISUG, and Madroño, the purchasing groups G9 and UNIRIS, the CSIC, and a representative from REBIUN, in a day that reinforced inter-institutional collaboration and national coordination in the field of open science.

Representing the BUVAL consortium, Paloma Garrido, from the Universitat Jaume I de Castelló, and Alejandro Gadea, from the Universitat de València, took part.
