On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the Gregori Maians Social Sciences Library (Campus dels Tarongers) hosted the opening of the exhibition The Writings of Water. A Social Perspective on the October 29, 2024 Dana.
The exhibition, curated by Antonio Ariño, brings together photographs by Cueto Lominchar, Ana Martínez Gorostiza, and Mario Rabasco, documenting and interpreting the social and human consequences of the October 29, 2024 dana.
The inauguration was attended by the Vice-Rector for Culture and Society, Ester Alba, and the Director of the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació, Cristina Tomàs. The exhibition offers a critical and sensitive perspective on the effects of this extreme weather event while inviting reflection on vulnerability, solidarity, and the capacity of affected communities to respond.
The exhibition will be on view until November 10, 2025, at the Gregori Maians Social Sciences Library. Access is free and open to the entire university community and the general public.
