The libraries of the Universitat de València are spaces open to knowledge, learning, and collaboration. They are generally open both to members of the university community and to the general public, in accordance with the regulations of the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació.
Access is free for all interested individuals, except during extraordinary opening periods or times of high occupancy, when the university card or the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació ID card may be required to enter.
Access during extraordinary opening periods
During exam periods and other extraordinary opening times, libraries extend their opening hours to offer more study time to the university community. During these periods, priority is given to students, academic and research staff (PDI), and administrative and service staff (PAS), as well as certain external users linked to the UV through collaboration agreements.
During these periods, access to the libraries will be limited to the following groups:
-
Members of the UV university community (identification with university card).
-
Members of the AlumniUV group (identification with Alumni card).
-
External users linked to the UV through collaboration agreements (identification with external user card).
-
Students of the Biomedical Engineering Degree at the UPV may access the Biblioteca de Ciències de la Salut (Facultat de Medicina i Odontologia) (identification with ID card).
Therefore, it is mandatory to present the accrediting document proving membership in one of the groups entitled to access.
If the virtual university card does not include a photograph, an ID card must also be shown.
