FECYT has published a new version of its Repository Evaluation Guide. The main purpose of this new version is to continue being an internal audit instrument to improve the quality of the repositories. Having this self-assessment tool is an important help when it comes to detecting strengths and areas for improvement, which contributes to increasing the reach and visibility of the repositories among the scientific community.
The new criteria included in this version are aimed at highlighting the importance of the value-added services provided by the repository, emphasizing digital preservation, identifying projects and funding entities, and completing some sections with new criteria that provide cooperation, visibility or better control of the data.
