On September 22, the Science Library of the Burjassot Campus organized an informative session aimed at all teaching and research staff (PDI and PI) of ETSE-UV on the opportunities for open access publishing through transformative agreements with various scientific publishers.

The session, led by Beatriz Climent, Head of the Research Support Section, and Alejandro Gadea, Head of the Information Resources Management Section, from the UV Library and Documentation Service, highlighted the main economic and institutional benefits of these agreements for researchers.

Key topics covered included:

• Discounts available for open access publications.

• Eligibility criteria to benefit from the agreements.

• Limitations depending on document type and author.

• Cases in which 100% of publication costs can be covered.

• Funding alternatives if the agreement criteria are not met.

Before the session, participants enjoyed a welcome coffee, creating a relaxed environment to share experiences and resolve questions about open access publishing.

Initiatives like this are essential for optimizing the publication strategies of researchers and maximizing the use of institutional resources.
