To open to a large number of audience, and to avoid formats that may restrict potential users and be at the forefront among the web portals of universities around the world. It is the objective of the Web Marketing Unit of Universitat de València has proposed with the new design of the web portal.
The web page of the UV changes its design before considering and planning a renovation process. The latter had led as a result a more accessible and attractive visual interface, in which special graphic elements that invite you to immerse yourself in the immensity of portal contents stand out.
The main purpose with this design is to avoid a recharged cover, and at the same time adapt the main page to accommodate at the first glance important sections such as UVNews (www.uv.es/uv.noticies), in which current and immediacy predominates, with the most recent news in areas such as institutional, studies, research, cultural activity, university sports or the agenda of the different campuses.
The objective is that the activity of the University, in all its areas, can be shared with the largest possible public, universalize the contents and flee from formats that may restrict the potential user of the web.
The concept from which this change started, according to the team that developed the new design, was the visual and graphic minimalism that facilitates access to content through routes. These lead to hundreds of internal portals of the faculties, the titles , the chairs, the institutes, the libraries, the offer of masters, the centres of investigation and other organisms of the Universitat, all this in the versions in Valencian, Spanish and English.
The aim is to be at the forefront among university portals around the world, starting from a reality: the web page is in most cases the first image of the University, the main way of contact, and a tool for consultation, information and the completion of the procedures.
The process hasn’t been finalised yet. The new image of the UV web site is progressively extending to all internal websites, which will be unified with the same style, design and philosophy as the main page.
