The Library offers an individual locker loan service intended for the temporary storage of personal belongings, study materials, and academic equipment for users during their time in the library.

Eligible Users

  • Members of the university community with a UV card.
  • Users blocked by the system for any reason (expired registration, outstanding books, overdue fines or penalties, etc.) may not use this service.
  • Use of the service implies full acceptance of these regulations

Request Procedure

  • The user must go to the Loan Desk to request the corresponding key.
  • All keys are labeled with the number of the assigned locker.
  • A valid university card must be presented to borrow a key.
  • Users may not use more than one locker at the same time.

Terms of Use and Loan Duration

  • The loan period is one day (Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:15 p.m., and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.)
  • The key must be returned before 8:15 p.m.
  • At closing time, the library will open any lockers that have not been vacated in order to empty their contents.
  • During special extended opening periods, lockers will remain closed.

Borrower Responsibilities and Penalties

  • The loan is personal and non-transferable; duplicating or sharing the key with third parties is not permitted.
  • The borrower is responsible for safeguarding the key during the loan period and ensuring its proper return.
  • The locker must be kept in good condition. Loss of the key or damage to the locker due to improper use will require the borrower to cover repair or replacement costs. The user will also be suspended from borrowing privileges until the issue is resolved.
  • Any incidents must be reported to the Information and Loan Desk staff.
  • The user must ensure that the locker is properly closed.
  • It is not permitted to store non-borrowed library books, food or perishable items, hazardous materials, substances that may disturb other users, flammable or illegal items, or electronic devices that are not turned off or set to silent mode.

Library Responsibilities

Authorized staff may open a locker if there are indications of misuse or if a health or safety risk is detected. In such cases, items may be removed and stored temporarily.
The Library is not responsible, under any circumstances, for the loss, theft, or damage of deposited items.
