Shipments of books to the Biblioteca Dipòsit from the other university libraries will be scheduled in advance, so that both libraries agree on the most appropriate date.

As a general rule, for works after 1958, only 1 copy of each work will be sent to the Biblioteca Dipòsit, as long as the Biblioteca Dipòsit does not have any copy of it. However, depending on the characteristics of the work (for example, books by UV professors or edited by our Publications Service, etc.), each library will be able to assess whether it considers it appropriate to keep more than 1 copy. In any case, the rule will be that a maximum of 3 copies be kept at the University, for works after 1958.

The copies that may already exist in the Biblioteca Dipòsit will be checked before shipment. If there are already any items in the library, no more will be sent.

In no case will rare or valuable works be sent to the Biblioteca Dipòsit. Neither magazines nor books will be sent without cataloging.
