Còmic i salut a la Biblioteca

The Health Sciences Library invites you to celebrate Book Day on April 28th at 12:00 PM in the Faculty of Medicine’s Aula Magna.

The event’s theme will be Comics and Health in the Library.

The main objective is to highlight the educational potential of using comics in health sciences studies. We will host a talk featuring Physiology professors Carlos Romá and Gloria Olaso, along with Álvaro Pons, Director of the University of Valencia’s Comic Studies Unit (Aula del Còmic).

Topics to be discussed include the Graphic Physiology 3.0 educational innovation project—developed by the UV Department of Physiology and its “Graphic Medicine” reading club—and the presentation of FisioCómic, the National Physiology Comic Contest, which is holding its second edition this year.

We will also showcase the library’s specialized comic collection and the outreach blog Sala d’Espera. The event will feature information stands and giveaways from the library.
