Open Access Week 2022 at the Universitat de València

The Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació of the Universitat de València joins the celebration of the International Open Access Week 2022 through the following initiatives:

  • Open publishing at the UV with the transformative agreements. Talk that will be given by Dídac Margaix, through Zoom, next Tuesday 25 October at 12:00 h. The activity will focus on the Universitat de València and will be open to the entire scientific community and anyone interested in open access publishing. Registration is required through the following link. Dídac Margaix has a degree in Information and Documentation and a Master's degree in Libraries and Digital Information Services. He is also a member of the Faculty of Archives and Libraries at the University of Valencia. He is currently the head of the Information Resources Management section, whose tasks include the centralised subscription of electronic resources for the University.
  • The Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació has developed a Guide on research data management, with the aim of promoting open access to research data and the dissemination of the scientific production of the Universitat de València in the context of a science open to society, collaborative and transparent.
  • Publicacions de la Universitat de València (PUV) opens its books in the institutional repository RODERIC to the university community and the rest of the world, following its commitment to the Open Access dissemination of its publications, in order to make visible the scientific and intellectual production of the Universitat de València.
  • In line with this year's motto "Open for climate justice", in the RODERIC repository you can find more than 800 documents (climate justice, climate change, climate change...) in the different collections.

In addition, REBIUN - the Network of Spanish University and Scientific Libraries - has organised a series of webinars for library and research staff. The series is called "Research, data and teaching: as open as necessary".
