Rosa Álvarez

Next Wednesday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m., the Gregori Maians Social Sciences Library will host a new session of the Paraula Viva series, featuring Rosa Álvarez, president of the Victims of DANA 29-O Association.

The DANA claimed the life of her father, Manuel, one of the 229 victims. Since then, Rosa has represented more than 160 relatives of 90 victims and has appeared before the Petitions Committee of the European Parliament to demand accountability. Her testimony highlights the ongoing fight of the associations to ensure that one of the greatest recent tragedies in our region is not forgotten.

In this session, Rosa will share her personal experience and the process of transforming grief into collective action, as an example of courage and civic commitment.

The event will take place in the main hall of the Gregori Maians Social Sciences Library, with free admission until full capacity, and is part of the “Paraula Viva” series, which gives voice to stories of life, memory, and justice.
