JCR 2021
The Clarivate Analytics tool offers a ranking of scientific journals based on the Journal Impact Factor (JIF) and the citations received by the publications. The new edition includes, among other novelties, a new metric called the Journal Citation Indicator. But it is not the only novelty. This edition features:
- A new interface, including a new login page and more appropriate graphics.
- Elimination of duplicate magazine titles when they are in different editions of JCR.
- Inclusion of all journals present in Web of Science, whether or not they have an impact factor (also those that are indexed to ESCI).
The new Journal Citation Indicator metric is calculated for all journals submitted to Web of Science, according to the Category Normalized Citation Impact (CNCI), or normalized impact factor, for the preceding three years.
Information on the new version of the JCR and how to access it is available on the Research Support portal.
