The Library of the Universidad de Sevilla hosted on March 23, at the Rector Antonio Machado y Núñez venue, the first in-person meeting of the “EFQM Leading Libraries” group, coordinated by the institution itself.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Servei de Biblioteques i Documentació, Cristina Tomás, together with quality technicians Concha González and Maica Lozano, representing the Universitat de València.
The event also brought together university libraries from Zaragoza, Granada, Alicante and the CRAI of Barcelona, in addition to the host university, while the Universidad de Alcalá participated virtually.
During the session, participants exchanged best practices and made progress on strategic issues such as the implementation of the EFQM model, generational renewal, return on investment, and the definition of work lines for 2026.
This meeting strengthens the role of participating institutions as benchmarks in quality management within the field of university libraries and reinforces collaboration among entities committed to excellence and continuous improvement.
