Diumenges, a la Històrica!

Historical Library reopens on Sundays to exhibit a selection of facsimiles of the most representative works from its valuable collection.  The exhibition can be visited free of charge from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Duc de Calàbria room.

The works selected for the exhibition include facsimile copies of cartographic documents, Renaissance manuscripts, incunabula, prints from the 16th to 19th centuries and a sample of the collection of children's drawings from the Civil War, which form part of the library's holdings.

Every Sunday, visitors can admire the imposing Duc de Calàbria room, with its original 19th century furniture, where two 17th century spheres are kept, one terrestrial and the other celestial, works by the prominent Dutch cartographers Wilhem and Joan Blaeu.
