The Chair for Digital Gender Gap, signed between the Universitat de València and the Valencian Government, promotes a series of activities in order to reduce the differences between men and women in access, education and employment in the use of information and communication technology (ICT).

The Chair organises this conference annually to raise awareness of the digital gender divide in the Valencian Community and to analyse the challenges of closing this gap.

PROGRAMME

The conference will include a presentation by the Chair Director, Anabel Forte Deltell, of the results obtained in 2023, and lectures led by:

• Regina Monsalve. Agricultural engineer, CEO of Naturvera and President of the Technical Agricultural Engineers Association of Graduates of Valencia and Castellón until 2023. 
• Óscar David Sánchez. Engineer and specialist in management innovation projects in the health, biotechnology and ICT sectors and promoter of the start-up Pleyad.
• Silvia Rueda Pascual. Computer Engineer with a doctorate from the Universitat de València. She is a consultant board member for the bureau of the Minister for Science, Innovation and Universities and Head of the Women and Science Unit at the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

The event will conclude with a panel discussion with the speakers, moderated by Kristin Suleng (Science Park Foundation of the Universitat de València), which will explore the experiences and perspectives of the ICT leaders, focusing on the integration of a gender perspective in innovation and leadership to help close the digital gender divide.
