
The Web and Marketing Unit (UWM) of the UV has developed the XatUV application, an automated hybrid interaction tool with artificial intelligence (bot) and online agents with attention in 3 languages (Valencian, Spanish and English), which aims to generate a synchronous communication channel for the attention of students, future students and graduates.
The application, conceptualised, designed and developed by UWM in accordance with the strategic lines of Marketing and Institutional Communication established by the Management of the Office of the Principal, has been operational for a few weeks. In the lower right corner of the UV corporate website and the portals of the services involved, there is a floating icon with access to UVinformation. Clicking on the icon displays a conversation window in which interaction is possible. If the automatic response is not satisfactory, there is the option "I want to talk to one or more agents", and an online agent is automatically assigned to the area previously chosen by the user. At this point, the synchronous interaction between the UV agent and the user begins. The user can also interact 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They can also close the conversation window with the bot and can ask other questions as many times as they consider.
The Web and Marketing Unit coordinates the technical support actions for the different UV services involved, which for the time being are Degrees, Master's Degrees, Doctoral Programmes, IT Support, Erasmus and International Programmes, Libraries, UVinternships, UVjob + UVentrepreneurships and UVsports. Later, the rest of the areas will be incorporated progressively.
