The University of Valencia has created Chair of the Climate Change, Territory and Environmental Risks, a project that is focused on analysis and disseminating information about the climate change in the Mediterranean area, its people and economy. At the same time, its purpose is to translate the scientific knowledge to practical tools that can be applied by public and private administrations and social agents.
Under the guidance of Ana Camarasa and Joan Romero, the Chair´s main objectives include creating a risk documentation and mapping center, disseminating and compiling and university´s research and respond to requests from the public and private sectors. The main themes of the conferences are environmental risks, the consequences of the climate crisis in the society and analysis of the territory that is surrounding the Mediterranean.
The department of Marketing and Communication of the University of Valencia has created and publish a web page of the Chair, designed not only for the scientific community but also for the general public interested in the climate phenomenon that affects this geographic area.
For that purpose, the Department has decided that the design will be clear and functional that organizes, from the top menu, different actions of the project according to its public: one section for activities, focusing on workshops and training; one for investigation which includes Observatory; another one dedicated to publications, and, finally, a section for transfer and collaboration with public administration and private companies.
