1.Declaration of accessibility
The Universitat de València has undertaken to make its websites and applications accessible to mobile devices, in accordance with the Spanish Royal Decree 1112/2018.
This accessibility declaration applies to the websites of the domain www.uv.es
2.Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 (WCAG 2.1), for the reasons stated below
3.Non-accessible content
3.1 Lack of conformity with the Spanish Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September: The Universitat de València uses a Content Management System (CMS) for corporate web publications with the following types of content
- The contents that are managed and delivered centrally in addition to 500 corporate web portals, and which comprise about 85% of the total. The structure of the contents and the design of the publication flows make it possible to guarantee compliance with level AA of the WCAG 2.1 Guidelines
- The contents generated in unstructured publication components, with a more dynamic character, which represent 15% of the total. Because of these types of content, it is not possible at present to guarantee strict compliance with level AA and for which progress can only be made through promotion, awareness and training measures.
3.2 Disproportionate load: In UV corporate websites there is old multimedia content in video, audio or video and audio that does not meet this AA level of accessibility because it does not have subtitles or their textual transcription. The production of this type of media content currently places a disproportionate burden on the UV. However, the Universitat de València is working in this area to achieve as much AA compliance as possible.
3.3 The content is not within the scope of applicable legislation: There are office automation files in PDF or other formats published before 20 September 2018 that do not fully comply with all accessibility requirements; content from third parties that is not funded, developed or controlled by this university may also be in this situation
4.Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 17 July 2019 after evaluation and review of the home page by the Web and Marketing Unit as the Unit Responsible for Accessibility (URA).
The method used for the publication of this statement was a self-evaluation carried out by the Universitat de València itself.
