Preludio (Prelude)

An inmate in the death corridor for a murder he has committed faces his last minutes. He has two last wishes in this prelude: watering a geranium and speaking with people attending his execution. He may repent but he won't ask for forgiveness. He knows he can't be forgiven. But what about the people that went to see him die? Will this end their thirst for justice or their thirst for vengeance? Maybe someone will see the person behind the inmate and give him a brief gesture of comfort.
