The University of Valencia leads the Shanghai Ranking by subjects in Spain in Business Administration, Tourism and Law
The Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS), or Shanghai Ranking by subjects, has confirmed the University of Valencia (UV) among the 50 best in the world in four areas (Remote Sensing, world position 26; and Business Administration, Science and Food Technology and Tourism, all three in place 48). In addition, it is the best in Spain in three areas (Business Administration and also Tourism; and Law, in the 1-2 range). Of the 29 subjects analysed, the University of Valencia is the absolute first in the Valencian area in 20, and in the Spanish area it is the absolute second in two other areas: Atmospheric Sciences and Remote Sensing.

Two rankings confirm the leadership of the University of Valencia in Spain in the areas of Economy, Commerce and Business
The University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) by fields of knowledge, which classifies universities according to academic results based on the quality and quantity of academic publications, has ranked the University of Valencia in first place in Spain in Business (world position 95); Trade, Management, Tourism and Services (126); and in Economics (140th place internationally). In addition, the recent update of the National Taiwan University Ranking (NTU), on the performance of scientific publications and citations, also considers the University of Valencia as the first in the state in the area of Economics and Business, and in the world position 151.

The University of Valencia, third in Spain in the Webometrics ranking, which measures presence and visibility on the web
The University of Valencia (UV) has improved its position among Spanish universities compared to January and is now third in Spain in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, a classification of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) that measures the presence and visibility of institutions on the web. The institution, moreover, occupies the 203rd position worldwide among 11,991 centres –a better place than six months ago– and is first in the Valencian Community.

Female researchers at the University of Valencia publish 12.31% more scientific articles than last year
The University of Valencia (UV) is number 75 in Europe, fourth in Spain and first in the Valencian Community in the 2023 version of the CWTS Leiden Ranking, an international classification that measures the impact and scientific collaboration, open access publication and gender diversity in research. In the classification, in gender indicators, 14,439 articles published by women have been measured, 12.31% more than in 2022.

The UV, among the 200 best universities in the world in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
THE University Impact Rankings, an international classification that measures the performance of universities in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (ODS), places the University of Valencia (UV) among the 200 best in the world and among the first eight Spanish universities. As outstanding individual objectives, the academic institution ranks 17th in the world in Objective 4, Education; or 21 in objective 10, reduce inequality between countries and within them.

The University of Valencia increases the number of citations of scientific articles by 10.42% in the last year
The University of Valencia (UV) is the third Spanish higher education academic centre in number of citations of scientific articles, highly cited articles and publications among the most cited, according to the InCites Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database. Regarding the number of citations to its articles, the University of Valencia is the third with the highest number in Spain, going from 703,348 in 2022, to 776,664, 10.42% more. By fields of knowledge, the three areas in which the institution stands out the most are Agricultural Sciences, Physics and Economics and Business.

The SCImago ranking confirms that the University of Valencia has the best BMA studies in Spain
The Business Management and Administration (BMA) studies at the University of Valencia are the best in Spain, according to the Scimago-Institutions Rankings (SIR), a classification that evaluates the 4,533 best universities and scientific research institutions. In this Scopus ranking, one of the main providers of bibliometric data in the world, it is also shown that in Economics and Econometrics the Valencian centre is the second best in the country, that the institution as a whole has advanced from Spanish position 4-5 in 2022 to 3 in 2023 and that the UV occupies the world position 135 in the Research indicator.

The University of Valencia increases the number of citations of its researchers in Google Scholar by 20.41% in the last year
The University of Valencia (UV) is the third Spanish higher education centre and the first Valencian one according to the latest update of the Transparent Ranking: Top Universities by Citations in Top Google Scholar, a classification that measures the number of citations in Google Scholar of the scientific articles from 4,361 higher education centres around the world and where the Valencian institution has gone from 1,699,948 appointments in 2022, to 2,047,064 in 2023, 20.41% more.

The University of Valencia, third in Spain and first in Valencia in the URAP scientific production ranking
The University of Valencia (UV) is the third Spanish higher education institution, the first in Valencia and has improved its position at the European and international level for the second consecutive year in the latest update of the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP). This classification measures the quality and quantity of the scientific publications of the 3,000 best universities in the world. Regarding the previous edition (2021-2022), the Valencian centre advances from 210th to 206th place in the world, while at the European level it also rises 4 positions, reaching 81st.

The University of Valencia, in the world positions 15 in Food Technology and 17 in Agricultural Sciences, in the Best Global ranking
The University of Valencia (UV) has improved in the Best Global Universities research ranking and is now the fourth higher education institution in Spain (fifth last year) and the 86th in Europe (two positions better than in 2021), in addition to maintaining the 212th position in the world and first in the Valencian Community. By subjects, in five areas (one more than in 2021), it is the first in Spain, and in two, Food Science and Technology and Agricultural Sciences, it ranks 15th and 17th in the world, respectively. The UV is first in the Valencian Public System in 23 of the 27 classified subjects, two more than last year.
