Biography | ||
I have a doctorate in Electronic Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Valencia (UPV), Master in Electronic Systems Engineering and Technical Telecommunications Engineer from the same university. My doctoral thesis “Mathematical modeling approaches for the diagnosis and treatment of reentrant atrial tachyarrhythmias” was developed within the FPU program (Spanish Ministry of Education) and, during my PhD, I completed a research stay at the University of Oxford (United Kingdom). I carried out postdoctoral research periods at the ITACA Institute (UPV) and the Cardiology Service of the Gregorio Marañón Hospital, obtaining a competitive postdoctoral scholarship from Generalitat Valenciana. My research has focused on increasing knowledge of the mechanisms of triggering and maintening cardiac arrhythmias, developing diagnostic tools and instrumentation based on this knowledge, and introducing these techniques into experimental and clinical practice. As a result of this translational research work, I was co-founder of Corify Health Care S.L. I am currently a professor at the Dept. of Electronic Engineering at the Universitat de València and I develop my research at COMMLAB. |
