    New SPORTDiscus user guide

    The Biblioteca de Psicologia i Esport has elaborated a guide about the SPORTDiscus database to show its functionalities. You will find tips for searching, how to work with the results and links to guides, tutorials and videos about the resource. You can change the language in the menu on the top right.

     

    SPORTDiscus is the reference database in the field of physical activity and sport sciences. It allows you to access the full text of more than 660 journals and to obtain references in more than 60 languages. In the database you can find material on sports medicine, physiology, biomechanics, sport psychology, training, physical education and sport competition.

    Special Christmas opening hours of the Biblioteca de Psicologia i Esport:

     

    - Monday, December 26, closed.
    -Tuesday December 27-Friday December 30, open from 8.15 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
    - Monday 2-Friday January 6, 2023, closed.

     

    On the website of the service you will find the Christmas opening hours of the rest of the libraries and the special opening hours for exam periods.

    Talk Psicólogas y psicólogos sin fronteras

    Next Wednesday, in the Hall of Degrees of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Valencia, will take place the talk (Spanish): "Experiences of Venezuelan community promoters in the accompaniment of women victims of gender-based violence (GBV) in Colombia".

     

    The activity is part of the Humanitarian Action Project "Protection and Psychosocial Support to the Venezuelan refugee population in the city of Rionegro, Department of Antioquia, Colombia" that the association Psychologists without Borders is carrying out together with the Catholic University of Oriente (UCO) in Colombia, funded by the City Council of Valencia.

    The service _ of Libraries and Documentation of the University of Valencia (SBD) ,renews the Learn courses:

     

    LearnCD. Digital skills (APRÈNCD)  is an online course that aims to train the student in digital skills.

    Learn how to do the TFG: background and organization of information. Digital skills (APRÈNTFG) is a course online that aims to train students in the advanced digital skills needed to develop successfully completed the degree thesis.

     

    The APRÈNCD  and APRÈNTFG have the recognition of 1.5 credits for 54 degree qualifications .

    Exhibition. Egalitarian relationships

    Within the framework of the campaign on egalitarian relationships, developed by the organisation Psicólogas y Psicólogos Sin Fronteras and financed by the Diputación de Valencia, the Biblioteca de Psicologia i Esport is exhibiting a series of 6 large format posters, created by students of the Facultat de Psicologia, whose aim is to show tools for the construction of egalitarian relationships.

     The exhibition of these posters is accompanied by a selection of books and films proposed by the Library on the subject and can be visited until 22 September.
