Certificar AENOR

Two libraries of the Universitat de València have obtained the AENOR certification for Universal Accessibility according to UNE 170001-2:2007 standard.

"María Moliner” Education Library at Tarongers Campus on 8 June, 2012

“Joan Reglà” Humanities Library at Blasco Ibañez Campus on 25 July, 2014

This certification is just an example of the Universitat de València commitment with creating accessible spaces for all people, as it is set out in the institutional strategy and in Accessibility Policy of the Libraries and Documentation Service.

The UV libraries offer users with disabilities a personalized service to facilitate both access and use of resources. To access these special services it is necessary to request the extension of the loan period at the loan desk of any library. The user must provide the official certificate of disability equal to or greater than 33%. In addition to these services, if the user needs help in accessing the facilities (use of the elevator, opening doors, access to the collection funds, etc.) he will be attended by the library staff.

The accessibility chain is the set of elements that, during the process of user interaction with the environment, allow the development of the activities planned in it. You can know the accessibility chain of the Joan Reglà Humanitites Library here, and the accessibility chain of the Maria Moliner Education Library here
