El The Read, Grow, Help Book Club was created to promote interdisciplinary reading among physiotherapy students and professionals, with the firm conviction that this will lead to improved clinical practice. In the current context, where technological advancements and a patient-centered approach focused on pathology rather than the person have gained prominence in physiotherapy training and practice, as in other healthcare professions, we consider it essential to return to our roots and incorporate humanistic values into clinical practice.
On April 19th, starting at 9:00 AM, the club's first meeting will take place in room M-16 of the Faculty of Physiotherapy, under the theme Pseudotherapies Kill: Strengthening Critical Thinking.
In addition to the lectures by 4 physiotherapy professionals, the Library will participate in the Conference with the presentation The Labyrinth of Knowledge: The University Library in the Development of Critical Thinking.
You can see the program and all the information on the conference website.
