The bibliographic management platform RefWorks will be renamed EndNote Fusion as of October 2026, 6th, as part of Clarivate’s strategic initiative aimed at unifying its bibliographic reference management platforms.
This change affects only the name of the tool and will not result in any changes to account access, stored data, or the core functionalities of the service. Users will be able to continue working as usual, using the same credentials and retaining their reference databases, folders, and associated documents in full.
According to Clarivate, the transition has been planned to take place without service interruptions and with minimal impact on the user experience. Once the name change becomes effective, the platform itself will display an informational notification to inform all users.
Through this initiative, Clarivate aims to provide a more consistent and integrated experience within its ecosystem of solutions for managing scientific information and bibliographic references.
What will change?
- RefWorks will be renamed EndNote Fusion.
- Account access will remain unchanged.
- No data or bibliographic references will be lost.
- The usual functionalities and workflows will remain unchanged.
- No service interruptions are expected during the transition.
The Library and Documentation Service of the University of Valencia will continue to support the university community in the use of the platform and will communicate any relevant updates related to this process through its usual communication channels.
