During the 2020-2021 academic year Publicacions de la Universitat de València (PUV), the publisher of the Universitat de València, celebrates its centenary. And it is that, although books and university life have always gone hand in hand, it is from 1920 that we have evidence, with the birth of the Anales de la Universidad de Valencia, of a continued and structured editorial activity within the of our University.

On the occasion of the celebration of this centenary, the exhibition "100 anys fent llibres" has been organized that combines tradition and modernity and illustrates us on historical and current aspects of publishing activity, with an eye towards the future.

The exhibition is structured in two spaces of the La Nau Cultural Center: the Duque de Calabria Room and the Sala Oberta. In the first part, exhibited in the Duque de Calabria Room of the Historical Library, a total of 57 pieces are shown that reveal the long relationship between the University and the book. This link, which has lasted for centuries, is illustrated with works from the collection of the Historical Library and other libraries of the University, as well as the Historical Archive. We also find documents from institutions such as the Nicolau Primitiu Valencian Library or the Historical Archive of the Valencia City Council.
