Since last week, the libraries of the University of Valencia open at noon and the loan of reading positions disappears.

During the CoVID-19 pandemic, libraries applied the necessary restrictions to control the capacity in libraries, ensuring traceability in case of contagion. From now on, although a maximum capacity of 75% is maintained, the loan of reading positions disappears and students will access the library and occupy the available positions without direct assignment.

In addition, although the cleanliness of the facilities is maintained, the libraries will open uninterrupted hours from 8.30 to 21.00. In this way, morning and afternoon shifts disappear and libraries will not close at noon.

We remind you that the UV library service also offers extraordinary hours during exam sessions. The “Joan Reglà” Humanities Library, the “Pelegrí Casanova” Health Sciences Library, the “Gregori Maians” Social Sciences Library , the “Maria Moliner” Education Library and the Science Library “Eduard Boscà” will open until 12:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Similarly, on Saturdays and Sundays these five libraries will open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This extraordinary schedule will continue from May 28th until July 1st.
