The colour that identifies the University of Valencia as a whole, which we have defined as "UV blue" or "UV corporate" has a dark blue tonality that allows reference the Mediterranean nature of the institution.
This colour applies generally to the whole institution and, specifically, to the identification of the central and general services of the University of Valencia.
The “UV blue” colour is constructed according to the following criteria:

The first normative acts can be found in Royal Decrees, which date from the 19th Century. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the objective of the protocol and institutional communication areas of the Spanish universities has been to achieve a chromatic uniformity for the appropriate identification of the doctors with their fields of expertise through the academic clothes that are used at the solemn acts.
Based on this chromatic allocation, colours were assigned to each of the centres of the Universitat de València for the building of the institution’s visual identity on the occasion of the fifth centenary of the academic institution.
This chromatic identity underwent evolutions derived from the creation and modification of centres as well as the agreement of some centres to assume a common identity to all the faculties of its area of knowledge at the state level.
These colours are characteristic of the centres, thus being an integral part of their visual identification, without necessarily being the colour corresponding to the academic clothing related to the area of knowledge to which it belongs, which is defined in the ceremonial university protocol framework.
Nowadays, the colour assigned to each of the Universidad de Valencia centres is the following:

- Faculty of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences: light green colour
- Faculty of Biological Sciences: turquoise colour
- Faculty of Mathematical Sciences: turquoise colour
- Faculty of Social Sciences: green colour
