Biblioteca de Ciències Socials is equipped with chroma key technology (green screen) and a professional lighting system, specifically designed to support the creation of academic audiovisual content. This equipment is located in the Espai Forma, the library’s multi-purpose room.

This service is aimed at students and teaching staff at the university for the recording of: 

  • Academic presentations.
  • Lectures or teaching clips.
  • Multimedia resources for courses.
  • Audiovisual projects related to teaching.

Use is restricted exclusively to the university community for academic and teaching purposes. Personal or commercial use of the space is not permitted.

How do I book the room?

Advance booking is required to use the room.

  • If you are a member of academic staff:
    • Request a reservation via the The Library respondsby selecting the Biblioteca de Ciències Socials from the drop-down menu under General Information.
  • If you are a student:
    • Please complete the application form (Spanish), signed by the professor responsible for the course, and send it to the The Library responds, by selecting the Biblioteca de Ciències Socials from the drop-down menu under General Information. Without this validation, it will not be possible to process the application.

Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

The space is available for use from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 8pm.

Use is limited to two hours per session, with the possibility of extending this if there are no subsequent bookings.

What do I need to know before recording?
  • You must bring your own recording equipment.
  • We recommend wearing clothes that do not contain any shades of green to avoid interference with the virtual background.
  • This is a self-managed room. Users will work independently and on their own. 
Recommended use and best practice
  • Plan your session in advance: practice the content and check the resources you’ll need.
  • If you’re going to use external materials (images, videos, music), make sure you have the necessary rights to use them.
  • Use the studio to create short, concise recordings that focus on learning objectives.

Users of this space are asked to observe hygiene guidelines and to refrain from eating or drinking in the room. They should also bear in mind the safety guidelines and those specific to any technological environment.

Authorised persons will be held responsible for any incidents involving themselves or the equipment and must report the incident to the teaching staff or the library so that the necessary measures can be taken.
