    New chroma key service

    Biblioteca de Ciències Socials offers the opportunity to book a space specially designed to support the creation of academic audiovisual content. Located in the Espai Forma, the library’s multi-purpose room, it is equipped with chroma key technology (green screen) and a professional lighting system. Use of the space is restricted exclusively to the university community for academic and teaching purposes. Personal or commercial use of the space is not permitted.

    Visites guiades

    Al setembre i mitat d’octubre, estem fent visites guiades per donar la benvinguda a l’estudiantat que s'incorpora a la UV.
    Pot ser que notes un poc més de soroll o moviment, sobretot a la planta baixa i a la -1.
    Si vols més calma, et recomanem pujar a les plantes 1 i 2.
    Gràcies per la paciència i per fer de la biblioteca un espai acollidor.

    The library will be open in August from 8:15 to 14:30 except the week of the 10th to the 14th which will be closed.

    The library is closed on Saturdays in July, August and September.

    WORKSHOP: Functionalities of the Scientific Production Portal and management of your researcher profile

    You will learn how to locate and update your profile on the UV Research Portal and also how to download useful reports such as indicators and impact assessments for six-year research periods, CVN (University Evaluation of Research), or academic records. Limited places available.

    LGTBIQ+ Pride week

    From June 22 to 30, at the Social Sciences Library we will be celebrating LGBTIQ+ Pride, commemorating gender and sexual diversity and claiming the rights of the community.

    With this purpose, we have prepared a sample of books from our collection related to this topic from different perspectives.

    If you borrow books from the sample, you will be able to choose between a cloth bag or a notebook and a pen, gifts from Diversitats, the initiative for equality in diversity at the University of Valencia, promoted by the Vice-Rectorate for Equality, Diversity and Inclusive Policies.

    To accompany the exhibition, we have prepared a decoration that includes an inflatable frame for you to take photos and share them on social networks by tagging:

    @bibliotequesuv or using hashtags like #BiblioSocialsUV #Orgull2026.

    Extraordinary opening hours

    From May 04th to June 29th the Socials library will be open extra hours.

    You can consult the calendar in more detail here and, if you need it, the other libraries and archives.

    Remember that we can ask you for the University of Valencia card to access and that during the extraordinary opening hours the access will be through the east façade (Professor Ernest Lluch street).
