World Book Day in te garden
Next Thursday, 23 April, to mark International Book Day, Biblioteca de Ciències Socials is heading out to the garden once again. As well as our popular science and literature collections, you’ll also find books from Infosud and Biblioteca Dipòsit.
On this occasion, and in keeping with the date, a paper rose will be given as a gift with every book borrowed. There will also be a workshop on making roses from seed paper, at 11am and 5pm, for anyone who would like to make their own rose and plant it.

Library to the garden
To launch the new green space on the Campus de Tarongers and to celebrate the arrival of spring, tomorrow, 25 March, the Biblioteca de Ciències Socials is taking its most accessible collection out into the garden. "La Biblioteca al jardí" will be open from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm between the Faculty of Economics and the Law School café.
The books will be available to borrow.

Easter opening hours
Due to the Easter holidays, the Social Sciences Library will be closed from Friday, April 3, through Monday, April 6, and from Saturday, April 11, through Monday, April 13, inclusive.
From Tuesday, April 7, through Friday, April 10, the Library will be open from 8:15 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Level -1 only, with access via the east entrance (Ernest Lluch Street). Service at the circulation desk, from 8.30 am to 1.45 pm.

Exhibition "La mirada de la dona en el cooperativisme"
The exhibition La mirada de la dona en el cooperativisme (The Woman's Perspective on Cooperativism) extended until March 15, 2026.
Organized by the Vice-Rectorate for Culture and Society –Culture on Campus–, Youth Culture, Caixa Popular, and the Gregori Maians Social Sciences Library, the exhibition uses the lenses of four Valencian photographers to show us the stories, gestures, and gazes of women who are building, day by day, a more humane, fair, and supportive economic model.

New subscription: eLibro Economics Collection
The Library and Documentation Service offers the university community access to the eLibro Economics and Business Collection: the largest digital platform for academic content in Spanish.
From now on, lecturers and students can access an extensive online collection of textbooks, monographs and reference works in the field of economics, comprising more than 11,000 titles, with a particular focus on key areas of teaching and research such as:- Economics and economic theory
- Business and management sciences
- Accounting and auditing
- Finance and markets
- Marketing and consumer behaviour
- Human resources and leadership
- Tourism and sector management
- Entrepreneurship and innovation
Among the more than 500 publishers represented, there is a wide variety of publishers such as: McGraw Hill España, Deusto, Dykinson, Ecoé, Akal, Paraninfo, Aenor, Antoni Bosch Editor, CIS, CSIC, Libros de la Catarata, etc., which provide a wide variety of works and up-to-date technical literature.
In terms of its main features, this new reading platform allows
unlimited simultaneous user connections; copying, printing and downloading up to 20 books per month on 5 different devices; access to audio versions in Spanish, English and Portuguese, as well as direct access to a dictionary, Wikipedia, maps, biographies and translation options into any language.The books can also be consulted through the app itself, where users can download the ebooks and use them without needing to be connected to the internet.
We invite the entire university community to explore this new collection and take advantage of its potential as a source of information and support for university activities.
