    April 23rd, Book Day

    Ontinyent Campus Library has prepared a day full of cultural activities to celebrate April 23rd, Book Day, with a special focus on paying tribute to the renowned writer Vicent Andrés Estellés on the centenary of his birth.

     

    Plaça Fundació Campus d'Ontinyent will be the epicenter of the activity from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A reading promotion campaign will allow participants to exchange books they have read for new ones, thus encouraging reading and cultural exchange within the community.

     

    Additionally, during these same hours, there will be a reading of texts by the Valencian writer Vicent Andrés Estellés, captivating attendees with his evocative poetry and literary legacy.

     

    For those interested in learning more about Estellés' life and work, at 7:00 p.m. in the Aula Magna, a special conference titled "Vicent Andrés Estellés: books and life" will be held, given by Jordi Oviedo, an expert on his work.

     

    This day promises to be a unique opportunity for the Ontinyent community to come together in celebrating reading and to delve into the cultural impact of one of the most esteemed writers in the region.

    Opening and closing hours during “Fallas” and Easter

    The library and the library study will close on the 15th, 18th, 19th, 20th of March, 1st and 8th of April.

    On the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th of April library will close but the library study will open from 8:30h to 15:00h.

    A partir del 15 de desembre fins a finals de gener obrirem la sala d'estudi del Campus d'Ontinyent els caps de setmana i ampliarem entre setmana l'horari fins les 00:00 de la nit.

    IT systems won’t work during this weekend

    From Friday 19 of January (21 p.m.) to Monday 22 of January (24 p.m.) all IT systems of the Universitat de València will be relocated to a new area. This relocation requires shutting down ALL central systems, and therefore, ALL applications won’t work (Virtual Classroom, catalogue, email, web, Cloud and disc access, Wi-Fi, etc.). 

    The Social Sciences Library, the Humanities Library and the Health Sciences Library will maintain their 24-hour special schedule during the weekend, but students won’t have access to IT services.

    The Sciences Library “Eduard Boscà” will be closed from Friday 19 of January (21 p.m.) to Sunday 21 of January (9 a.m.) due to power outage.  Because of this, several classrooms will be opened at the Aulario Interfacultativo. Students will be able to access through Primero de Mayo street.  The Library will open at 9 a.m., but the IT services won’t be restablished until 24 p.m. on Monday 22 of January.

    In order to access the library, you must identify yourself as a student, professor or university staff.
