What is CVN?

The Currículum Vítae Normalizado (CVN)  is a Standard Norm that defines the same presentation format for researchers' curricular data and enables interoperability with the different institutions' databases. It serves so that researchers can present their curriculum in a unique and common digital format that allows them to automatically update the curriculum information, without having to re-enter it again.

CVN facilitates the presentation of the curriculum vitae in a unified way in calls for public aid from the State and regional plans.

Advantages

The advantages of using the CVN service apply to researchers, institutions, managers of aid calls and, therefore, to the evaluators of these aids, since:

  • It reduces the workload a researcher needs to keep their CV up to date.
  • It improves the administrative tasks of the curricular management of the applicants for the different public calls. It facilitates and reduces the time of the evaluation and accreditation processes of the research staff, allowing the whole system to use a "common language" for the exchange of curricular information.
  • It simplifies electronic processing and contributes to the development of electronic administration, which will result in a decrease in face-to-face procedures.

Where to generate the CVN

There are two ways to generate the CVN:

1. From the Curricul@-GREC application of the University of Valencia. The FECYT advises that if the institution in which you work is adapted to the CVN, you should do so from there. This is the case of the University of Valencia .

2. From the editor that FECYT has for non-adapted institutions
