Some libraries have self-service terminals that facilitate the loan and return of books without having to go to the loan desk.

 How can I borrow a book ?

1. Choose the loan option.
2. Put the university card close to the laser for reading the bar-code.
3. Place the book on the surface. Automatically, you will have borrowed the book and the book will be demagnetised.
4. You can print the loan receipt. 

  How can I return the book?

1. Choose the return option 
2. Place the book on the surface.
3. Automatically,  the book become free and  demagnetised
4. You can print the loan receipt 

Note that you can not make these actions if you have any kind of incident: overdue book, university card expired, number of renewals run out, etc.

In case of doubt you should go to the loan desk where they will solve the problem as soon as possible.
