The homepage of the UV website is a window to the news and activities of the university community. It is a living portal in constant change, with a module structure that allows dynamic and efficient management and updating of its contents.

At the same time, the developments that enrich the website are also under continuous revision to adapt to the needs of the university community and to technological advances. Also, accessibility, usability and user experience criteria are taken into account. The following is a description of the elements that make up this UV portal.

In the first place, we see the header, where the main element is the corporate image of the UV, which is a constant in all of the UV’s webpages. Above this image there is a link toolbar, on the far right of which we can change the language (Valencian, Spanish, English), access the UV Directory and the institutional social media, and contact via the UV Mailbox. It also gives us access to our personal area, registry office, online office, official bulletin board, virtual classroom, and contractor profile.

On the other hand, on the far left of the header we have shortcuts to specific information according to different profiles: students (current and future), PDI, and company profile. Bellow the header is the menu, which reflects the structure of the website.

Bellow the header we also have an institutional video produced by UVcommunication which is updated periodically.

After the video there is a space that intents to give visibility to events, procedures, deadlines or any other transversal and time-bound information of interest to the university community.

This temporary events are followed by two important components: on one hand, UVnews, where three news of special relevance selected by UVcommunication are shown; and on the other hand, the image highlights developed by the Design Team of the UWM and that function as direct access to these contents that you want to highlight.

In relation to the institutional social networks, they are present in three position on the UV homepage: in the header, as mentioned above; in the central body of the page; and in the footer. The central social network component leads to the UV Agenda module. This agenda is shared with almost all the University's websites, making it a very interesting tool for the dissemination of activities. Agenda highlights are common, i.e. events that you want to highlight and make especially visible and that can be customised for each website.

Then we have the videos, displayed in a playlist component put together by UVcommunication. It should be noted that the component works with these lists, rather than with individual videos, a development that is an improvement in efficiency over the previous modality and is the current trend in all UV institutional websites.

The last part of the University's homepage groups together components with more stable content: highlights, map and galleries. This featured "circles" component gives access to the cross-cutting information "Living at University" and is common to other websites.

As for the map, it shows the different faculties, departments, services, and other entities that are part of the Universitat de València. Also, you can find more information about this in the UV Directory, which can be accessed from the header, as mentioned above.

Regarding the galleries on the main page, these show images of different institutional events that have taken place at the University. Since only the most recent galleries are shown in the home page, you can access the previous ones by clicking on the hamburger menu of the component, i.e. the three horizontal lines, that will take you to the rest of the galleries.

Finally, the footer closes this relation of elements that make up the UV homepage. It is a horizontal element with the UV corporate image, its address, links to its social networks, to the UV app and to content syndication on one side. On the other side there are links to UVintegritat, registry office, online office, official bulletin board, and contractor profile. There we also have the logos of entities linked to the UV, such as the Vives Network, Universia and HRS4R, and links to Transparency, Accessibility, privacy policy, cookies and legal information, and access to the UV Mailbox with contact information.
