The University of Valencia celebrates institutional events on the occasion of March 8, International Women's Day.

On March 7, the Debate Forum and the Equality Unit organize a round table on the media and gender stereotypes, at 7:00 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the La Nave Cultural Center. Moderated by Alfons Cervera, it will feature the intervention of Rosa Solbes (journalist), Fani Grande (social networks), Pau Crespo (Author of "The eradication of gender violence in the written press"), Rosa Peris (PSPV Deputy. Courts Valencian) and Luz Quiñonero (Deputy Podemos. Valencian Courts).

On March 8, the central act of the activities is held within the framework of 'March for Equality' with the ceremony of investiture as Doctor "Honoris causa" of Prof. Doctor Amelia Valcárcel, at 12 noon at the University Auditorium From Valencia.

On Wednesday, April 6, after the interruption due to Fallas and Holy Week, there will be an act of tribute to the pioneer women in the government of the Centers of the University of Valencia. The event will also be awarded prizes for the best master's and final degree projects awarded in the second edition of the “Olga Quiñones” Award.

On Friday, April 15, the investiture ceremony as Doctor "Honoris causa" of Prof. Saskia Sassen will take place, at 12 noon at the Paraninfo of the University of Valencia.
