7th HDH Conference

The 7th HDH Conference will take place in Valencia, from October 22 to 24, 2025, under the title: "Ad cognoscendum, agendum vel operandum." Civic and Social Commitment in the Digital Humanities.

Venue: Faculty of Philology, UV.

The Joan Reglà Humanities Library is presenting a poster at this conference entitled: "The university library as a support for teaching in educational innovation and digital humanities." It will be displayed during the poster session on Friday, October 24, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Faculty of Philology.

La Biblioteca d'Humanitats romandrà tancada fins a la fi de l'emergència

SUSPENSIÓ GENERAL DE L'ACTIVITAT PRESENCIAL UNIVERSITÀRIA
La rectora de la Universitat de València, vista la proposta del Comitè d'Emergències de la Universitat davant la situació d'alerta meteorològica, declara el nivell d'emergència 3 a la UV, a partir de les 00.01 hores del dilluns 29 de setembre de 2025.

En aquest nivell d'emergències 3 se suspén, en tots els campus i instal·lacions de la UV, l'activitat universitària presencial (docent, administrativa, investigadora, cultural i esportiva), amb l'excepció de les tasques de suport i de manteniment d'instal·lacions crítiques. Les activitats presencials previstes, sempre que siga possible, es desenvoluparan a distància o en modalitat de teletreball.

Durant el dilluns 29 de setembre no hi haurà activitat docent presencial ni en línia. Si la situació d'emergència es prorroga s'avaluarà la possibilitat de restablir l'activitat docent en modalitat en línia.

New resource from the Cartoteca of the Universitat de València on the DANA of October 29, 2024

The Cartoteca of the Universitat de València, with David de la Osada Saurí, professor at the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Geography and History, has launched a new digital portal that compiles and organizes the main academic and outreach contributions generated in the wake of the DANA of October 29, 2024, one of the most severe meteorological events in recent years in our region.

This space offers maps, articles, interviews, graphic materials, and scientific references that help to better understand the impact of the phenomenon and the role of geography in emergency situations. The portal also highlights the contributions of experts from the Universitat de València, who played a key role in communicating knowledge to society during a moment of high complexity and uncertainty.

With this resource, the Cartoteca reaffirms its commitment to public service and research support, making available to both the academic community and the wider public a valuable tool for analysis and reflection on the relationships between territory, society, and natural hazards.
