Vicent Andrés Estellés, the voice of a people

On the centenary of the birth of Vicent Andrés Estellés, from the Department of Catalan Philology and especially from Professor Ferran Carbó, the Humanities Library has created this virtual exhibition to pay tribute to him. He is considered one of the main renovators of contemporary poetry in Valencian, playing a role that could be assimilated, to a certain extent, to that of Ausiàs March and Joan Roís de Corella in the 15th century. We hope that this exhibition will help you to know in depth this important figure of Valencian literature.

    "Rescued women writers, free texts".

On the occasion of 8M, Professor Luz C. Souto, who coordinates the MNLAB Project, and Xelo Candel Vila, together with the students of the subject Contemporary Spanish Readings of the Degree in Hispanic Studies: Spanish Language and its Literatures, have developed a series of videos for the exhibition "RESCUED WOMEN WRITERS, FREE TEXTS".

The aim is to make visible and promote the reading of women authors who wrote during the Franco regime or the first years of democracy, many of them forgotten in the configuration of the current literary canon.

The Joan Reglà Humanities Library has collaborated by setting up the virtual exhibition and bibliography.
We recommend that you consult it to discover the life and work of these great women authors.
