The Ciències de la Salut library has 3 rooms for collaborative work: 2 group work rooms (Room 1 and Room 2) and a Multipurpose Room.

All three rooms are equipped with all the necessary for group work: a white board, a screen, connectors, remote control... In addition, the Multipurpose Room has a large tactile projection screen and equipment for videoconferencing and online meetings.

Booking and use of the Work group rooms

You can book a room or group work booth through the Affluences website or from its free app (Android or iOS).

The conditions for early booking are:

Bookings can be made 7 calendar days in advance and for a maximum of 3 hours.

A delay of 15 minutes will result in the loss of the room reservation. If the room remains empty for more than 30 minutes during the reserved period, it may be occupied by other users.

Room use rules


Capacity and hours

The group work rooms are open from 8.15 am to 8.30 pm, from Monday to Friday.

On weekends and during special opening hours due to exam periods, the rooms cannot be used (neither booked nor loaned).

The capacity of the rooms is as follows:

  • Room 1: minimum capacity of 2 people; maximum capacity of 6.
  • Room 2: minimum capacity of 2 people; maximum capacity of 6.
  • Multipurpose room: minimum capacity of 2 persons; maximum capacity of 12.

Loan of rooms

The user has to go to the counter and validate the reservation with the QR code that will be there or ask the library staff to validate it. The room will be loaned to the user who has made the reservation, who will have to show the UV card. The borrower will be responsible for the correct use of the room.

At the time of loan you will be given a token which at the end of the period of use must be handed in at the counter.

The rooms are equipped with complementary equipment for group work (white board, screen). For the use of this equipment, there are kits available to the group (felt-tip pens and eraser for the screen; cable and remote control for the screen) which must be requested from the lending desk on floor 1. It will be lent to the borrower, who will also be responsible for it.

Rules for the rooms use

  • Smoking, eating and drinking are not allowed in the rooms, except for water.
  • It is not permitted to play music or speak in a high pitched voice. Mobile phones must be switched off.
  • The library is not responsible for personal belongings left in the room.

Once you have left the room, library staff will check that everything is in good condition. The library reserves the right to temporarily disallow the use of the rooms to anyone who breaks the rules or misuses the room and its equipment.
