    Open Science Conference 2025

    Next Friday, 24 October, the Open Science 2025 Conference will take place as part of International Open Access Week, which this year has the theme Who Owns Our Knowledge?

    At the conference, introduced by Cristina Tomás, Director of the Library and Documentation Service, Carlos Hermenegildo, Vice-Chancellor for Research at the UV, will present the UV's Open Science Policy (in Valencian), approved on 7 October by the Governing Council. In addition, Beatriz Climent, Coordinator of the Open Science Commission, Joel González, Rector's Delegate for Strategic Research Actions, and Juan Pérez, Editor of the UV Publications Service, will also speak.

    The conference will be held in the Assembly Hall of the Law Faculty, on Friday 24 October at 12:00 pm.

    Library closed for emergency level 3

    By decision of the UV emergency committee, the emergency level 3 has been decreed for Monday, September 29. At this level of emergencies, university activity (teaching, administrative, research and cultural) is suspended on all UV campuses and facilities, with the exception of tasks supporting basic functions and maintenance of critical facilities. Therefore, libraries will remain closed.

    Sessió formativa sobre JoVE

    El pròxim dijous 25 de setembre s'impartirà una sessió formativa presencial sobre la plataforma de vídeos per a la docència i la investigación: JoVE Science Education, subscrita per la UV.

    La sessió tindrà lloc a la Sala de Formació d'usuaris de la Biblioteca de Psicologia, de 12 h a 14 h. Requereix inscripció: 🔗 Formulari d’inscripció

    La formació sota el títol: Com crear classes atractives usant vídeos? serà impartida per especialistes de la plataforma i està dirigida a personal docent i investigador de les àrees de ciències naturals, ciències aplicades, ciències de la salut i psicologia. Es tractaran, entre d’altres, els següents continguts:

    • Com utilitzar les funcions de JoVE (compartir vídeos i qüestionaris a l'aula virtual, com crear llistes de reproducció).
    • On trobar llistes de reproducció relacionades amb la guia docent de l'assignatura.

    Existeix la possibilitat d'obtindre certificat d'assistència.

  • Tool of editorial fraud On no publicar

    Update of the tool "On NO Publicar"

    On no publicar aims to help in the identification and analysis of potentially fraudulent journals in Health Sciences. Developed by the Biblioteca de Ciències de la Salut, it offers a compilation of journals in the health area with documented dubious or outright fraudulent editorial practices.

    In this latest update, 1,119 journals have been identified, 37 of which are new additions. It also presents the following changes:

    • A new source has been included for the base list, the blacklist New List of predatory journals - 2023.
    • Some sources (ICMJE, JournalGuide, JournalTOCs) that were used for quality verification have been eliminated, either because they have been discontinued, have become subscription sources or because they are no longer considered relevant.
