The purposes of the images provided by the Historical Medical Library may be:

Personal Use

• Public Domain Works.
• Works still subject to Copyright: when it is made for private use and exclusively for research purposes, in accordance with the provisions of current legislation on intellectual property (Chapter II of the consolidated wording of the Spanish Copyright Act, approved by the Legislative Decree 1/1996 of 12th April, modified by Law 23/2006 of 7th July).

Public Use (with prior authorisation)

• Public Domain Works: its public use (editorial use, public communication, advertising use, website, etc.) requires prior authorisation by the Library Direction and, if necessary, payment of a fee. To obtain this authorisation, the Public Use Declaration Form (available below) must be completed and sent by post to the following address:

• Works subject to Copyright: in these cases, the user must contact the holders of copyright and related rights of the work, or the corresponding management entities: CEDRO, SGAE or VEGAP.
