The library offers the Research Support Service, dedicated to advising and assisting Teaching and Research Staff in matters related to accreditation and assessment, standardisation of authorship and profiles, article publication, open access, research data and rights management, among others.
Personalised service (Punt SI)
- Profile curation service. Keeping your profiles up to date makes it easier to apply for funding and is essential in the processes of evaluation, accreditation and obtaining places. Contact us if you need individual attention to unify your production and review your profiles and identifiers.
- Publish. Ask for an appointment to choose the most suitable publication medium for your work, to find out the impact of a journal in the main databases, or to find out about discounts on APC payments, among others.
Training service for researchers
- Programmed workshops. We organise regular workshops for senior and junior research staff and doctoral students in adapted sessions, with groups of 3 to 5 researchers attended by the librarian specialised in research support.
- Customised training. If you need a session on a topic not included in our programme, please ask us for information..
Tools for scientific publication
The Research Support Service of the UV libraries has designed two tools for the evaluation of research activity:
|
|
Journal analysis tool, with useful data to help the researcher in the selection process of a journal (impact factor and updated JCR quartile, position of the journal in other categories, fees to be paid for open publication...). |
Interactive tool for the analysis of editorial fraud. It presents a collection of journals with documented dubious or outright fraudulent editorial practices, such as so-called ‘predatory’ journals and ‘hijacked’ journals. In development. |
UV Scientific Production Portal
Lastly, the Research Support Service collaborates in the maintenance and resolution of incidents in the UV Scientific Production Portal. This portal gives visibility and transparency to the research activity through the results and the analysis of its impact, facilitating the consultation by Departments, Faculties or Researchers.
To contact us, you can do it through the form below The Library Responds. To find out more about this service, you can consult the web section of the Research Support.
