New resource from the Map Library on the DANA October 29, 2024

The Map Library of the Universitat de València, with David de la Osada Saurí, professor at the Department of Geography of the Faculty of Geography and History, has launched a new digital portal that compiles and organizes the main academic and outreach contributions generated in the wake of the DANA of October 29, 2024, one of the most severe meteorological events in recent years in our region.

This space offers maps, articles, interviews, graphic materials, and scientific references that help to better understand the impact of the phenomenon and the role of geography in emergency situations. The portal also highlights the contributions of experts from the Universitat de València, who played a key role in communicating knowledge to society during a moment of high complexity and uncertainty.

With this resource, the Cartoteca reaffirms its commitment to public service and research support, making available to both the academic community and the wider public a valuable tool for analysis and reflection on the relationships between territory, society, and natural hazards
