The spread of infections caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria is one of the most serious threats to public health. The rise of antibiotic resistance is due to several factors, but the inappropriate and indiscriminate use of antibiotics is one of the main contributors to the emergence of this phenomenon.

This is a global problem affecting both human and animal health. Recent studies reveal that antimicrobial resistance has become one of the leading causes of death worldwide, ahead of diseases such as AIDS and malaria. In Europe, around 33,000 people die each year as a result of hospital-acquired infections caused by resistant bacteria. In Spain, there are around 4,000 deaths yearly, four times as many deaths as those caused by traffic accidents.

Do your bit in the fight against the Antibiotic Resistance. #ResistenciaAntibióticos #CorreSinResistencias
