FECYT has confirmed to the Research REALIA editorial team the continuity of the FECYT quality seal until 2020. The @tic revista d’innovació educativa (educational innovation journal), a scientific journal focused on education published by SFPIE of the Universitat de València, was awarded the FECYT quality seal in the 5th edition held in 2016.
On the occasion of the new process of evaluation and renewal of this distinction made in 2019, FECYT has decided to renew the allocation of its quality seal for the new head of Research in Education and Learning Innovation Archives (REALIA).
This publication has a new ISSN: 2659-9031, and since its transformation in June 2019 has already been recognised by the most prestigious databases and indices, as the continuation of that. This is the case with DOAJ, Emerging Sources Citation Index, the National Library of Spain, ISSN, UlrichsWeb, Dialnet, EPSCO, BASE or WorldCat.
FECYT began the process of evaluating the editorial and scientific quality of Spanish publications in 2007. Since then, six editions have been held. The evaluation is biennial.
At the presentation event of this year's winners, the general director of the Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT, Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology), Paloma Domingo, and the general director of the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation, José Arnáez, revealed the Spanish ranking of scientific journals with a quality seal. The objective of the ranking is to serve as an evaluation of the quality accreditation systems of the works published by Spanish researchers in the areas of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Research in Education and Learning Innovation Archives (REALIA) is a journal co-directed by Ferran Suay (Universitat de València) and Alejandro Armellini (Northampton University), which focuses on higher education and continuing or permanent training, although it also publishes research from other relevant educational sectors (REALIA).
