The Universitat de València is once again the university chosen by those students who aim to be admitted in the most prestigious degrees. 10 of the 15 degrees with a higher cut-off mark in the Valencian university system are taught in the Universitat de València. The 99.95% of the 8,695 places offered in 2018/2019 by the institution have been covered.

According to the Vice-principal for Studies and Linguistic Policy, Isabel Vázquez, “the numbers show that students trust the educational quality of the Universitat de València. In addition, there is congruence between the supply and demand of degrees in the Valencian society”.

The most demanded degrees have been Medicine (13.058, highest cut-off mark in Valencia), Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences (12.881), Physics (12.783), Odontology (12.436), Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics (12.268), Nursery (12.222), Biotechnology (12.210), the double degree in Business Management and Administration + Law (12.146), the double degree in Law, Political Sciences and Public Administration (12.138) and International Business (12.132).

According to Isabel Vázquez, “having the offer fully covered indicates that there is an increasing interest in studying in our university. It is important for us that students are strongly interested in their degrees. In this sense, 61% of the applicants have been admitted in the degree that they asked for their first choice. This number increases to 77% if we consider their second choice as well," said the vice-principal.

All admitted students who decided to study the double Degrees in Law and Political Sciences, Translation and Linguistic Mediation (English) and Medicine had chosen these degrees as their first choice. In the case of Physics, International Business, the double degree in Business Management and Administration + Law, Journalism, and Audio-visual Communication, 90% of the admitted students had chosen these degrees as their first choice of study. 25 degrees have had a cut-off marks higher than 10.
