A total of 161 teams made up of 682 students and 139 teachers participate in the Idees MOTIVEM 2023 competition. Various interdisciplinary teams came up with specific ideas as a means to solve a particular necessity. Five ideas will be awarded, in each branch of knowledge: Architecture and Engineering, Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Health Sciences, and Social and Legal Sciences.

This training exercise allows students from the University of Valencia to put their competencies to practice with the purpose of improving their future employability. Initiative, creativity, and communication, among others, help them to generate, develop, and present ideas as a team with coordination by the teaching staff.

Specific training to transform the MOTIVEM idea into a project

Now until 12 May, participating students can continue developing their MOTIVEM ideas with a 25-hour training session (9 in-person hours, 2 hours online, and 14 hours of individual work). In this training session, students will be able to identify the potential of their presented idea, develop their entrepreneur profile, and learn about new career opportunities.

What is MOTIVEM?

MOTIVEM is a program founded by the University of Valencia in collaboration with ADEIT - University-Business Foundation, under the supervision of the office of the vice-president of Innovation and Knowledge Transfer. Its objective is to support the teaching staff at the University of Valencia in motivating students to acquire competencies that better their employability.

MOTIVEM has an academic council, made up of professors from the University of Valencia who back this initiative.

Participation is free for both teaching staff and students thanks to the economic support of the Valencian Regional Government and “la Caixa” Foundation, via CaixaBank.
