200 participants in the 38th edition of Adapted Sports Games

The Valencian Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports initiated the new edition of Adapted Sports Games with an sporty day aimed to students of special education centres or schools with separate unit, organised by Divina Pastora Chair for Adapted Sport of Universitat de València.

The first event of adapted activities within the framework of 38th Sports Games received 200 participants, students and teachers, in the sport installations of Blasco Ibáñez Campus. The young student body played different sports such as rugby, tennis, basketball and dance, and also had fun with exercises for improving their motor skills.

The event was made by the student body of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences Degree of UV, that prepared a circuit with activities for the participant children.

Participation of 10 Special Education Centres

10 Special Education Centre particpate in this first initiative that has the aim of foster the sport practice in the educational community. The participant centres were CEE Carmen Picó (Alzira), CEE Virgen de la Esperanza (Cheste), CEE Sant Cristòfol (Sagunt), CEE Miquel Burguera (Sueca), CEE Torrepinos (Torrent), CEE Enric Valor (Gandia), CEE Rosa Llácer (Castellar-l'Oliveral), CEE Ruiz Jiménez (València), CEE Profesor Sebastián Burgos (València) and CEE Koynos (Godella).

During the academic course 2019-2020, in València there is eight planned activities related to adapted sports within the framework of 38th Sports Games, and an amount of 13 events will take place in the districts of Alicante. The first one will be in Torrevieja on 12 November with the participation of 13 entities.
