Conference and exhibition by the chess Grandmaster Pepe Cuenca on chess and mathematics

The Darwin Hall of the Burjassot-Paterna Campus of the Universitat de València will host this Thursday 31st March at 1 p.m. the conference 'Chess and Mathematics' given by Pepe Cuenca, chess Grandmaster and PhD in Applied Mathematics. Admission is free until full capacity is reached. In the afternoon, at 4 p.m., Cuenca will take part in an exhibition of simultaneous games in classroom 1.7 of the Faculty of Mathematics. Registration to attend the event closed on Monday 28th March.

José Fernando Cuenca Jiménez -Pepe Cuenca- is a civil engineer, PhD in Applied Mathematics and chess player. He has been a chess Grandmaster since 2015 and has been champion of Spain U-20 and sub-champion of Spain absolute. He is a chess commentator on the website chess24.com. He is known for his particular style of broadcasting chess tournaments.
